Christopher Thompson
Research interests:
Before returning to college in 2016, I was a fine-dining chef for nearly ten years in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Denver, Ireland, and Croatia, among other places. In 2017 I first moved to New York to attend Columbia University, where I completed an honors thesis in sociocultural anthropology. My ongoing work explores issues of affect, labor, and race among the Black Indians of New Orleans; though I also have a burgeoning interest in cybernetics and virtual worlds.
