Mike Marciano

Pronouns: he/him

Research interests:

I am a musician, researcher, writer, and former blue-collar worker, who discovered the field of Anthropology through social media channels. I have a desire to find humane solutions to a sometimes inhumane industrialized world. I received my BA from Rutgers University, New Brunswick in May of 2024. My thesis is an ethnography that focuses on automation and surveillance in the workplace. It is based on my 13 years of experience working for a multi-national corporate delivery service. In addition to this, I studied ethnography immersed among the settings and people of Spain and Morocco. Here, I focused on two separate projects, the “Moroccan Red Pill” and migrancy.
