Karin Castillo-Tres

Research interests:

Karin Castillo-Tres is a second-year M.A. Anthropology student at The New School for Social Research. Her research interest centers in understanding the dynamics and frictions, that arise from the relation between energy technologies and society. She is also concerned about exploring space and place, and how these are perceived by people. Before starting her graduate studies at the NSSR, Karin worked in UNHCR and private companies as data analyst in issues regarding social conflict, food safety, refugees, asylum seekers and transit population in Guatemala.
