Introduction to the Workshop

Date:
September 10, 2020
12:00 pm

In light of the Scholar Strike, the Workshop Team has decided to reschedule this evening’s workshop to Thursday from 12 – 2pm. We also hope that this time might accommodate students in varying time zones.

We encourage everyone to spend some time today engaging with the resources, materials, and teach-ins being shared and hosted during the Scholar Strike.

Here’s a bit more information on why the Scholar Strike started, a YouTube channel with videos and resources that have been uploaded in the past few days, and the ever-growing #scholarstrike Twitter hashtag, where you can find many more reflections and resources.

Also, if you haven’t yet checked out Ramon de Haan‘s incredible Anti-Racist Decolonizing Reading Group syllabus and reading list, now’s the time to do it!

In this workshop, we will be discussing the formats for workshops, best practices around inclusivity, calling-in, and how we construct a space where we as a community can come together. We will also produce a community agreement.
